I’ve been following this? since the kickstarter, I really want to get one, but i live on the 2nd floor of an apartment building and I only have a west facing balcony to grow on. It gets a good amount of evening sun, but there are a few obstructions. Would this be worth the investment?

RandomTuber, there are actually quite a few options for low/indirect lighting situations and I have personal experience with most of these: salad vegetables like spinach, radishes and open-headed (leafy) lettuces of many varieties; veggies like broccoli, radishes, beets, potatoes and peas, and herbs like sage, parsley, chives, and mints do well to name a few. Also, you could supplement with a few CFL’s in cheap outdoor fixtures.
